Improving our work: Peer and Self Assessment.
The pupils were peer assessing each other’s stories and self assessing their own work. Lots of great conversation about their learning and how to improve their standards. Well Done.

Preparation for the Big Schools’ Birdwatch
P1-P3 were making bird feeders to encourage more birds into the school playground. They will be participating in the RSPB Big Schools’ Birdwatch in the next few weeks.

Riverside Museum Trip
P1-3 had a great time today visiting the Riverside Museum. They had a jam packed day with touring the tall ship first thing, taking a part in a workshop, touring the museum and of course a visit to the shop!

Health Focus Day
For our health focus day this term we have been learning about herbs. The children had great fun smelling and trying the herbs and cooking Basil Pesto Pasta. They even had the chance to taste the P4-7’s delicious Carrot and Coriander soup.

Transport Topic
This week our school was visited by a driver and his truck from Gist who deliver for M&S. The children were so excited for the visit and had a great time learning about road safety, how food is delivered to the stores and the job of a truck driver.

Star Writers
Well done to this weeks star writers. They all wrote stories about a new vehicle invention they made and worked hard on improving their work.

Outdoor Maths
P1-3 were enjoying the sun during their maths lesson today. They did a great job sorting 2D and 3D shapes.

Transport Play
P1-3 enjoyed working in groups making and creating vehicles and roads this afternoon. They created some super new inventions for travelling around, roads through the desert, trucks to carry all sorts of food, and tracks around a farm yard for the tractors and horses.
