The Higher German class went for lunch to the Bavarian Brauhaus in Glasgow for a taste of authentic German food. They had to order their lunch in German, and tried (among other things) Sauerkraut, Bratwurst and Schweinehaxe. This was a farewell to Eva, our German assistant this year, whose last day is next Wednesday, as well as being a reward for a year of hard work. Well done!
On Tuesday 5th March, S5 pupils took part in the annual maths/modern languages competition ‘Mathématiques sans Frontières’, run this year by the University of the West of Scotland. They spent an hour and a half solving mathematical puzzles, one of which had to be answered in a foreign language. There was, of course, a variety of international food on hand to help the brains work!

Members of class 2F2 researched an aspect of Paris each, and produced a poster of it. The groups then judged which were best, and here are the winners! Well done all of you.

On Friday 16th March the Higher German class went to the Bavarian Brauhaus in Glasgow for a German lunch, after finishing their Speaking exams and working hard all year. Pupils had to order in German from a real German waitress, and sampled a typical German menu – some items were enjoyed, others less so, but at least they all had a go!
