Mathématiques sans Frontières 2025

Final Test 2025 Scotland and r UK

So, on Thursday 13th March some S4/5/6 pupils took part in this  annual international maths/languages competition.  The pupils enjoyed working on some really difficult mathematical problems, one of which had to be answered in words in a foreign language.  As always, some international snacks were available to help thinking.  The pupils really stepped up and worked hard for two periods, and it was fantastic to see them working as groups and really engaging with the tasks.  Each participant also got a nice maths set, courtesy of Mrs Rodgers in the English department, who clearly has some good contacts.  We’ll see if we win the competition this year!  Link to the test above, if it works, and you want to see what they were doing.
