S2 Rotation 2 – In the OMAN unit pupil’s will discover a region with many differences (but also some similarities) to Scotland/UK;

 

 

 

  • Where in the World is Oman?
  • What are the country’s main physical and human features?
  • How does the climate of Oman compare to ours?
  • Why is their climate so hot and dry?
  • How do sand dunes form on the desert?
  • How have living things adapted to the desert environment?
  • Create your own desert species!
  • What is life for the traditional Bedouin people under pressure today?
  • Decision making – Should Hassan stay or go – you decide!
  • Connections Poster – demonstrate your knowledge by highlighting  links between various physical features and living things in this climate region – one very different from your own!
