We move to investigate ‘Scotland’s Geography‘ with a focus on;
- How are Scotland’s main settlements & physical landscapes linked?(Atlas Skills)
- Weather and climate – what’s the difference?
- Rainfall – why is the west of Scotland so much wetter than the east?
- Flood Risks – what are some of the causes, impacts and solutions?
- Ice age Scotland– how did it help form and shape our mountain landscapes?
We develop various OS Mapping Skills
These skills allow us to identify, describe and to compare features of two contrasting landscapes; Cumbernauld vs Aviemore (Cairngorms)
