Hello world!

Welcome to Braidhurst High School’s Bee Blog.  In this blog you will find out all about the school’s apiary, our progress and the importance of pollinating insects like honey bees.

The Bee Hive Project was started in September 2014 thanks to the generosity of David Craig and North Lanarkshire Council.  In that time a group of pupils (and a very nervous teacher) have gone from confusing honey bees with wasps to full time bee keeping.  Without the help of the lovely Warren Bader of Plan Bee Ltd this project would not have been possible.  Please feel free to browse our posts and galleries, make comments or ask questions.  Pop over to Plan Bee’s website too to see how they are leading the way in improving biodiversity throughout Scotland.

We hope to see you back again soon!
