During this week we are going to be learning how to care for the chicks that arrive in our school next week. The chicks will be in our class and we have been given the responsibility of caring for them throughout their stay. We are all very excited.

Banana Bake Off
On Friday the children took part in the school Banana Bake Off making banana smoothies. The children had lots of fun and our smoothie looked and smelled great.
Health
In class we have been learning how to stay safe and healthy with the help of our puppets Polly and Billy. Polly has helped us learned how to keep clean and what foods to eat to stay healthy, while with the help of Billy we have learned all about stranger danger and what we do when we are not feeling well.
Scottish Wildlife
We have been learning all about different animals we would find in Scotland. We have used the iPads to research some animals and create fact files and we have made our own puffin hat and model seals. Check back soon to see some of our writing.
Maths in Action
We have been working hard in class putting our new knowledge on numbers and subtraction into action through a variety of games.
Daffodil Tea
Today the infant department held their Daffodil Tea for Marie Curie. The children planted and care for their bulbs and then presented them to a family member at our tea. The children also performed some songs and poems all about daffodils to entertain our guests. A big thank you for everyone who attended the tea.
Christmas Party
The children had a great time at their Christmas party today and enjoyed showing off their dance moves.
Christmas Lunch
Today the children enjoyed eating their school Christmas dinner surrounded by all their friends. Our meal was lovely and we would like today a big thank you to the dinner ladies for all their hard work.
Caveman Play
The children are having lots of fun exploring the life of a caveman through play activities and are now sharing with others what they have learned.
Patterns
We are exploring patterns using colour and shapes.
