The children put their heads together to help plan our new topic on Cavemen which will be starting over the next few weeks. The children shared what they already knew and then discussed what they would like to learn. The children then presented their group suggestions to the rest of the class. There was some very interesting suggestions and hopefully we will be able to cover them in the time available.
The children all looked great at the Halloween Disco on Tuesday night and had lots of fun dancing and playing games. A big thank you to all the parents who organised the event for us.

Last week we continued our orienteering work during gym and the children had great fun despite the weather.
Today we had a fab day a Calderglen Country Park and the miserable weather even brightened up for us. We went on an autumn walk through the woods and had lots of fun finding things from Percy the Park Keeper Stories. We also had time to play in the play park before visiting the animals in the zoo.
Well done to all the children who made pirate hats and flags for the dinner halls pirate day. All the hats and flags were amazing!
The children are all looking forward to our trip to Calderglen country park next week, where we will be learning all about signs of autumn, animals in autumn and how to take care of nature in our enviroment.
We have been having lots of fun learning about Katie Morag in class and during play we are now using our knowledge to create models, painting, poster and even sewing Tiresome Ted back together. Here are some pictures of the children during play.
