Katie Morag
The children were very excited today to start their new Katie Morag themed play activities. We had lots of fun learning how to sew like Katie Morag, work in our own Post Office and make a model of Struay Island and many more interesting activities.

Sorry this is late up but here is last weeks Star of the Week.
Katie Morag Letter
Today the children from Primary 2/1 had a surprise delivery. A parcel and letter arrived and the children couldn’t wait to open it and see what was inside. Inside the children found Katie Morag’s Tiresome Ted sent from Katie Morag’s Mum for the children to look after for little while. The children also wrote to Katie Morag’s mum to thank her and tell her how they would look after the teddy.
Hopefully some videos of the children opening the parcel will be posted soon.
Stranger Danger
The children in the infant department had a surprise visit from the Police on Friday for a stranger danger talk. The Police spoke to the children, played some games and even showed the children how they take fingerprints. The children all had their fingerprints taken and got to take them home to show their friends and family. A big thank you to the Police Officers for their visit.
Reading
We have had a amazing day on Thursday with the children showing off their reading skills during group and paired reading activities. Well done children keep up the great work!
Maths in Action
This week the children have been working hard on their numeracy skills with Primary 1 looking at numbers to 5 and Primary 2 looking at numbers to 100 and beyond and introducing place value tens and units. As promised here are some links to some online games the children have used in class.
