We have been learning about counting to 4. Mr Fowler helped us to learn a fun song with great actions called ‘Counting to 4’.

We were learning how to match our magnetic letters to our sound boards today. Some of us know lots of the sounds so well, Mrs O’Neill only had to say the sound and we could spot it straight away!

This week at literacy time we have been learning to match a letter to the same letter. We used a giant alphabet mat and we all took turns to match our letter tiles. Next time we are going to match the letters in a lotto game.

We have been very busy in nursery this week. We have heard the story of the three bears. We have been learning about sizes: big, medium and small. It was great fun pretending to make porridge but it was even better when we followed instructions to make real porridge. It tasted great!
We know when to wash our hands
We have been learning how important it is to wash our hands. We wash our hands before snack and we wash our hands after going to the toilet. If we have been touching a pet or something dirty, we wash our hands too. Our families are helping us to remember when to wash our hands as they are filling in our handwashing chart at home.
