Here are some of the excellent dioramas that P5 made for their homework task. They have really enjoyed learning about rainforests and talked confidently about their dioramas to their cooperative learning group. Some have moving parts and one even has sound so that you feel like you are in a rainforest! Next stop in our changing planet is the polar regions, bbrrrr!
Primary 5 were delighted to win the Head Teacher’s Best Class Award for last week (8/9/17) and enjoyed an extra playtime as their reward today!
Here are our Values Heroes who were designed to help the children remember our new school values as part of our Vision and Values statement. We will now be presenting certificates at our weekly assemblies for children who have shown that they are working hard to be the type of person our values promote. On behalf of everyone at Aitkenhead Primary School, we would like to wish Mrs Coyle a long and happy retirement. Mrs Coyle has been Head Teacher at Aitkenhead Primary School since January 2001 and we are all going to miss her. We celebrated her retirement by having an assembly and a fun afternoon on Friday.
