Beat the Street
Beat the Street is back!!
Beat the street has made a welcome return to North Lanarkshire Council. Beat the Street North Lanarkshire will run from Wednesday 3 May – Wednesday 21 June! Beat the Street is a free, fun game for the communities of North Lanarkshire to see how far you can walk, cycle, run and move any which way you can!
Last year we were very successful and came 9th place out of all North Lanarkshire schools. This was an amazing achievement and i’m sure we can do even better this year.
All children have now been issued with a fob which is already registered to the school. Inside the envelope is a card for an adult to register and use. Please register your card as soon as possible to help gain points for the school.
There are also fantastic prizes on offer for individuals and teams! Registered players can win a Decathlon voucher for a ‘Lucky Tap’ on a Beat Box; all you need to do is get tapping. Teams are able to win prizes on our two leaderboards; up to £1,000 in Decathlon vouchers! Don’t forget – to be eligible to win a prize, players must be registered. There will also be some prizes for participates who walk the furthest over the course of the competition.
Primary 3 have already got us off to a great start this morning, off they went for a brisk walk tapping their beat the street boxes on the way. Look out for us joining in beat the street over the next few weeks!
