A Busy Week for Primary 3!
Wow what a busy week we had last week!
In maths, we have been learning about regular and irregular 2D shapes. We drew them on whiteboards with our partners and played a shape dominoes game. We moved on to working out which regular shapes we could use to make tessellation patterns then had fun trying out our ideas with paint and by drawing around 2D shapes.
In PE, we started a series of lessons based on the principles of striking and fielding. We started by learning how to strike a variety of balls to our partners using a part of the body. We had to think if we could strike the ball low, high, hard or soft and if we had to change our body shape to be able to pass the ball. It was a great start to this block.
We also begun our new social studies topic, ‘Glasgow in the Past’ which was chosen by the children. We’ve started the topic thinking about what we already know and what we would like to learn during the topic. We created a timeline and discussed how many years have passed through each decade. I hope it’s not making mums and dads feel too old!
I hope you enjoy looking at the photos of our busy week!
