Our theme this month is the Wonderful World of Books and Signs of Spring.

The children will focus on books with more depth, to raise an awareness of the title, author, illustrator, words and picture clues.

The children will be encouraged to share their favourite books with their group and we will be adopting the 3 read approach to give the children the opportunity to explore a book to give a deeper understanding.  We will be developing prediction and comprehension skills throughout this month.

There will also be a focus on number this month, with particular regard to counting up to 20 orally and exploring deeper understanding of numbers within 10.  we will also focus on number symbols within 10 and ordinal numbers (1st, 2nd, 3rd etc)

Our science focus this month is looking for signs of nature, to raise awareness of the wonder of nature and the evolving season.
