Apologies to all parents for the mix up with the dates of the Christmas Sing-A-Long. The date is definitely Thursday the 13th of December with the morning performance at 9.30 a.m., and the afternoon at 1.30 p.m. After the performance everyone is welcome to stay and enjoy a mince pie and cup of tea or coffee. The children will begin rehearsals soon and in response to feedback from our Stay and Play sessions I will post the songs on the blog, and if possible, a little practice at home would be great. Additionally, I will post the nursery rhymes that the children have been learning onto the blog to keep parents in touch with our daily learning in nursery. A hamper has been placed in the parent area of the nursery and any donations for this would be very welcome. The hamper will be raffled, with tickets available during w.c. the 19th of November through to the evening of the Christmas Fayre. The cost will be £1 per strip of tickets. The draw will take place at the Christmas Fayre. All proceeds will go to the nursery fund which is used to support the children’s Christmas gifts, Christmas party and various events throughout the nursery year. The nursery Christmas Party is a joint party between the morning and afternoon sessions on Friday the 21st of December. This will start at 8.40 a.m., with an entertainer between 9.30 a.m. and 10.30 a.m., the children will have their Christmas snack until 11.00 a.m. with parents being invited to join the party at 11.10 a.m. A special visitor will visit the children at approximately 11.10 a.m.
An additional outing has been planned for the children to visit Condorrat Library for a storytelling session. Parent helpers will be required for this and a sign will be placed in the cloakroom area for parents who are able to sign up to help. The date is the 6th of December with the morning children walking to Condorrat at 9.30 a.m. and the afternoon children leaving the nursery to walk to Condorrat at 1.00 p.m. If there is any alteration to this a text will be sent out to all parents.
