Feast Or Famine

On the 2nd of April the pupils of Primary 7 participated in the Feast Or Famine event in which they tried to raise awareness of the 33 percent of the world that is suffering from Famine.   The rules of the event were that you had to pick a slip of paper this slip said on it Famine or Feast.   If you got a Feast slip you were allowed to bring in to School as much food as you wanted, but if you picked a Famine slip you were only allowed to bring brown bread to eat for your snack and lunch. Well down to all the Primary 7 pupils who completed the event they should all be very proud of themselves.

Emily leaves P2

After spending a lot of time with Primary 2 Emily from St. Maurices had to leave so she could study for her exams and all of Primary 2 miss her and wish her luck.

Reported by John Joe Pollock.

Primary 3

Primary 3 have written incredible and very interesting letters to inform and persuade builders to come and fit Solar Panels to our school. This would support the Schools Eco system and because an inspector will be coming to assess us for our third Eco Flag.

Graham Construction Health and Safety Visit

Two people from Graham Construction came to our school today to talk to us about staying safe around construction sites.  They told us about some different people who work in a construction site like Joiners and Plumbers. They also told us about some vehicles like bulldozers, forklift and jackhammers.  Some pupils got to dress up in safety equipment. We all now know how to keep ourselves safe.  Thank you to our visitors for their good advice.
