Draft Excluders

This week all the children of St.Patricks Primary school have been making draft excluders . This has resulted in some exceptional acts of creativity. The projects are due in on Monday the 24th but many have been handed in on Friday. One from each class who has the best design on their draft excluder will win a prize.

Primary 2/1

On Tuesday the 17th of March Primary 2/1 went pond dipping and caught dragon flies and pawn shells. They also made St.Patrick’s Day cards to celebrate the special occasion. They are also very excited for their magic show.

What have P3 been up to?

P3 enjoyed working with Miss Thompson on the science Experiments in the energy workshop.
Some children have already finished their drought excluders for the parent and child competition.

P3 have also been busy preparing for the Sacrament of reconciliation which they will receive on Mon 24th of March in St Patricks Church.

Pond Dipping

This week primary 6/5 have been taking other classes out to go pond dipping at the school pond. All the classes had fun at the pond and all caught different insects in their nets and were able to identify them with their guides.

Eco

The green team will be weighing and monitoring the food waste bins in the in the dinner hall. They will also be speaking to primary 1-3 to remind them how to how to use the bins correctly. Gardening club have designed a new sensory garden and they are looking forward to working on it with Nikki.

Mike the Magician

As Monday was the feast day of our school Mrs Canavan asked a magician to come to our school for a St. Patricks Day treat on Friday the 21st of March.  Everyone had a magical time and really liked it
