Eco Committee

P.3 are raising awareness of all EARTH as part of our GREN SCHOOLS REVOLUTION Topic. At 8:30 pm Saturday 29 of March hundreds of millions of people will come together in a symbolic lights out display for the planet.

As this week s science week we had a parent and child competition where they had to make a draught excluder.

Berlin Wall graffiti.

Primary 7 have been designing paper Berlin Walls for their topic on WWII the children’s wall is very colourful. The children have been enjoying their topic, sadly the topic is coming to a close.

Eco Commitee

New materials have arrived for school garden. Nikki’s gardeing club have designed a senory garden and will soon begin work on it. Parent-child competition to design a draught excluder was a great success with lots of amazing entries. Parents voted for winner at parents night-results announced next week.

Primary 3

P3 celebrated their Sacrament of Reconciliation on Monday the 24th of March in St. Patrick’s Church. They enjoyed it and would like to thank Father James and Father Andrew for helping them complete this special Sacrament.

What’s Going in P1?

We have interviewed the Primary 1’s and asked them what they have enjoyed in and out of the class this week.  Sophie said she enjoyed visiting Deep Sea World and matching colours to different pictures. Grace said she liked learning her common words and writing her numbers. Primary 1 are enjoying there work in class and having fun on school trips.

Primary 2/1

This week the P1-3 Gardening Club and Mrs Clark have been planting Geranium’s and Pansies.  Also the P2/1 class went outside for their lesson to find signs of Spring, Mrs Clark said, “It was very nice.”

Draught Excluder For P4

Abi Murphy in Primary 4 made a draught excluder and won the competition for her class. Most of the school made one and there was a winner from each class. Parents voted at the parents evening last night and we are still waiting to find out who won out of all of them.
