Tennis Festival
Yesterday five children from Primary 4/3 attended a Tennis Festival at Broadwood. When asked how they enjoyed the Festival one said it was really enjoyable 100 out of 100. Out of many teams the St Patrick group did some very good work and they should be very proud of themselves.

Eco Comittee
Primary 3 were working with primary 6/5 on pond dipping. They learned lots about biodiversity and had great fun. Primary 6/5 are fab teachers. Eco comittee members, Jaqueline and Rachel spoke at assembly about the little box and that this year the country they are foccusing on is Columbia. They also spoke to raise the awareness of Science Week and The Green Schools Revoulution. Science Week starts on the 17th of March and will finish on the 21st. The theme of Science Week this year is Energy and there are many whole school events planned.

P6 Poets
This week the primary 6’s of St.Patricks’s Primary school learned how to write a poem in a rhyming structure and they produced some super spring time poems. As the 6’s typed out their poems and they learned how to use the features of MICROSOFT WORD and they learned how to change the margin of their page and put a border round their work.

Primary 2 and 1 had an amazing day at deep sea world on Wednesday seeing all of the different types of fish. The class have also been learning about saving water and The green school revoulution. They have also had a visit from Scottish water to learn some more.

Pond Dipping
Today, primary 6/5 went pond dipping again with Alan from the Forestry Commission. Pond Dipping will go towards their John Muir Award which is an award for insects and wildlife.
