Diary Dates This Month

Tuesday the 21st of January – Our school signed a business partnership with Pauls Quality Butchers and Strathcarron Hospice.

P6 have strated their new topic Clyde in the classroom in conjunction with a visit to Glasgow science centre.

Next week it is Scottish Week and there is a celebration on Friday the 31st at 1.15pm.

P1,P1\2 and P2 went to explore the church and found out new and interesting things.

Next Tuesday and Wednesday  there will be Judo taster sessions.

Next Thursday four Primary 6’s will represent the school in the Euro Quiz.

For the girls football team there is a football festival on Friday Morning.

We will be having a visit from out reach parliament.

ICT In P3

Recently P4/3 have joined Studyladder and have already achieved a large amount of certificates. As well as recieving certificates they are also developing in their learning about ICT.

Primary 1’s New Topic

Primary 1 are starting a new topic “Storys Of The Sea”. Throught thier topic they are doing purposeful plays where they are making pirate hats and boats. Throughout these activites they are learning something new every day!
During maths they are learning time and the use of o’clock.

Mrs.Clark and Primary 2/1

Mrs.Clark and Primary 2/1 have started using Study Ladder, an online place for children in school and out to study using games. They are using Study Ladder in the ICT base using the computers and their log ins and passwords. Primary 2/1 have also been rehearsing and practicing very, very hard for Scottish Day on the 31st of January next week.

Eco Code 2014

Now that it is a new year we now have a new Eco code. The new Eco code is Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Respect, Don’t leave a carbon footprint. Mrs Parkinson and the Eco committee will be working hard to try and stick to this new Eco code through the full year.

NLC Girls Football

Kirsty and Chris , from NLC are doing an active
schools Girls football session for 4 weeks .Girl’s in P7 and P6 have the chance to do drills and play games with the coaches .Hopefully the girls will compete in festivals and competitions soon .

New Training Teacher Joins P7

Recently Primary 7 have been joined by a new training teacher, Miss Thompson. She’s been taking over a few lessons over the past few days. Primary 7 did a task to get to know her and for Miss Thompson to get to know them. Miss Thompson will be with Primary 7 for 10 weeks and after her time with us she will officially be a teacher!

The St.Pat’s ECO CODE

Sean Brady and Sam Beattie designed a new ECO poster for all of the classes to see and remember what is means. The words on it are;Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Respect. They also added something saying Don’t leave a carbon footprint! REPORTED BY SEAN AND KATE
