At St Ignatius’, we are committed to ensuring that every child feels confident, supported, and ready for the exciting step into secondary education.
Most of our pupils move on to St Aidan’s High School, and we work closely with our colleagues there to provide a smooth and reassuring transition.
Throughout Primary 7, pupils take part in an organised programme of enhanced visits, joint learning experiences, and induction days that help them become familiar with the staff, environment, and expectations of life at St Aidan’s.
Our teachers also share key information about each young person’s learning, wellbeing, strengths, and support needs so that continuity is maintained as they move forward.
Families are invited to information sessions and events that explain the transition process and offer the opportunity to ask questions.
At St Ignatius’, our aim is to ensure that every pupil leaves us feeling prepared, valued, and ready to embrace the next chapter of their education with confidence and enthusiasm.
