At St Ignatius’, we understand that beginning Primary 1 is a special and joyful step in each child’s learning journey.
Guided by our school values, we ensure every child feels welcomed, nurtured, and ready to shine as they move into our caring community. Throughout the pre‑school year, children are invited to visit the school to meet their teacher, explore their new classroom, and become familiar with the routines of school life.
We also work closely with local nurseries to share important information about each child’s interests, strengths, and needs so that support is seamless from the very first day.
Families are encouraged to take part in information sessions and stay‑and‑play opportunities, helping to build confidence and strengthen the home‑school partnership.
Our aim is simple: to ensure every child begins Primary 1 feeling safe, valued, and excited to “Go Forth and Set the World on Fire” as part of the St Ignatius’ family.
