Houses

At Sacred Heart, our whole school community is brought together through our House system, inspired by four remarkable saints:

  • St John Henry Newman
  • St Carlo Acutis
  • St Andrew
  • St Margaret of Scotland

Every learner is allocated a House, giving them a shared identity and a sense of belonging from the moment they join our school.

Each House reflects the values and example of its saint, whether that’s courage, compassion, faith, service, or a commitment to learning and personal growth. Through House activities, challenges, and celebrations, our pupils work together, support one another, and take pride in living out these values in their daily school life.

Each House is led by a House Captain and Vice‑Captain, elected by the whole school at the beginning of each academic year. These pupil leaders serve as positive role models, demonstrating high standards of behaviour, commitment, and attitude to learning. They play an important role within our school community and frequently represent the school as ambassadors during events and activities.

Our House system strengthens relationships, builds community spirit, and helps every child feel part of something bigger.
