Good morning Room 14!

How are we all? Half way through the week already. Unfortunately Mr Sunshine doesn’t have his hat on today but that doesn’t mean we can’t have some fun!

Here are today’s tasks:

Literacy

  • Please continue with any of your Study Ladder tasks that you haven’t managed to complete.
  • Take 20 minutes to read a chapter of your favourite book/audiobook online.
  • Practise your spelling words in any way you wish (rainbow spelling, sing them, paint them!)

Study Ladder won’t be updated with reading tasks until Monday now. I have an exciting new grid with lots of Literacy tasks for you to choose from:

I know everyone in Room 14 loves watching different educational YouTube videos and enjoy the various Youtubers that are famous at the minute. These literacy tasks are all based on YouTube and very exciting. There are lots of opportunities here for drama, poster making, poetry and health and wellbeing. I love these and hope you do too. Please remember to share the tasks you complete with me.

Numeracy

  • Each group will have a new Learning Pod on Study Ladder. These will focus on the maths concepts you have been learning about on Sumdog. These will be live until Friday. Please remember, any questions, email me and I will help you!

Topic

  • Please continue your Space tasks from yesterday. This task was to design your own planet.

Health and Wellbeing

  • Today’s health and wellbeing is focusing on our sleeping pattern. During a time were we are all a little out of routine, it can be easy to lose our all important sleeping pattern (perhaps going to bed a little later or having a longer sleep in the morning!). It is incredibly important that we understand the importance of sleep, having enough sleep and the effects that not having enough sleep can have on our bodies. The following task allows us to learn about the impact sleep has on us and create the perfect ‘sleeping cycle’.

Have a wonderful day everyone and I look forward to hearing from you with your excellent work,

Miss Rossetti
