Emeralds – Revising the ‘oi’ phoneme.
1. Can you think of some more words that have the ‘oi’ phoneme? Think carefully about the representation, is it ‘oi’ or ‘oy’?

2. Break your words up into individual sounds. Example: boil =   b   oi   l

Diamonds – Revising ‘oe’ phoneme.

1. Can you think of some more words that have the ‘oe’ phoneme? Think carefully about the representation, is it ‘o-e,’ ‘oa,’ ‘ow’ or ‘oe’? Remember o-e is a split phoneme.

2. Break your words up into individual sounds. Example: boil =  s    n    ow

Rubies – Revising ‘ae’ phoneme.

1. Can you think of some more words that have the ‘ae’ phoneme? Think carefully about the representation, is it ‘a-e, ‘ay,’ ‘ai,’ ‘ey’ or ‘ea’?

2. Break your words up into individual sounds. Example: boil =   m   o   n   k   ey
