We had a great night at the disco tonight. Everyone managed to keep there party clothes clean for the big event. All is quiet again in the dorms as we get ready for the journey home tomorrow. I’m sure you have been missing your little ones terribly. However, I hate to break it to you, there are a whole load of them who will have to be pushed on to the bus tomorrow. Most feel just one more week would do!
In all seriousness though, in our books that is the sign of a successful week. The children have experienced new responsibilities, challenges and independence but safe in the knowledge they are being well looked after. It quickly turned into a home from home.
So its a busy morning tomorrow. We will be enjoying our final breakfast. The food has been fab! Then we need to strip the rooms and make sure all our bags are packed. Be prepared!!! There is a good chance those beautifully packed bags from Monday will be coming home in a very different state.
If I don’t get the chance to post in the morning (or its playing the silly games it has with me today) you will get a text from the school to sat we are on our way and then another with a better ETA.
I’m not sure if it’s just me but I’m sure they are taking longer to get up in the morning!
Not a sound through the night our families have obviously prepared our children well. Either that or everyone is so exhausted.
A wet start to the morning but that doesn’t stop us at Kilbowie. In fact a bit of rain and mud only adds to the fun. A hill walk isn’t really a hill walk unless you need hosed down afterwards.
One of the best things at Kilbowie is watching our children over coming challenges, fears or worries. This year has been no different. So many proud children in the evening talking about their achievements from the day. Whether it’s climbing to the top of a rock face or organising their stuff in their rooms. I’m also so impressed with our staff yet again. As always they are supporting and encouraging our children and have been since Monday morning. A great team effort.
Get ready for some major story telling on Friday night.
That’s the general feeling here at Kilbowie. Another action packed day. The weather held up beautifully for us.
I’m particularly pleased with the many positive comments we have had about our pupils from the instructors.
Anticipating another peaceful night. Had to break the bad news to a few of them earlier on that it was still 2 hours until bed time. Lots of fresh air and hearty meals is the perfect recipe to a good early night. We have been so pleased with how quickly the children have settled at night. (I have a funny feeling you won’t have any problems on Friday night either.)
Everyone looking forward to another day tomorrow but disappointed it is the last full day of activities!
A beautiful day in Oban! Everyone had a good night’s sleep. In fact many were ready for bed after the evening activity. Last night was the famous ‘night line’. Very exciting indeed.
A full day ahead with a range of activities planned. The good weather has allowed a lot of water activities too so far this week.
