On Sunday 22nd April Mrs Hendry, our Primary 1B teacher, will be running the Virgin Money London Marathon 2018 for The National Autistic Society. As part of her fundraising Mrs Hendry has knitted Bertie Bloomer. Bertie Bloomer loves gardening and is working hard to get his garden ready for spring. This will take the form of a raffle and the cost per number is 50p. The children can buy as many tickets as they like. Tickets will go on sale from Monday 12th March. The winning ticket will be drawn on Thursday 29th March. Please help support Mrs Hendry in raising funds for such a worthwhile and deserving charity.

St John Bosco Disco
A community disco will be held in St John Bosco Parish Hall on Friday 26th January 6.30pm – 8.30pm.
This community event is free for all children of primary school age. There will be a small tuck shop offering juice, crisps and sweets.
The organisers look forward to seeing you there.

Harvest Celebration
Health Week
We are currently enjoying Health Week here at New Stevenston Primary. As well as enjoying sessions based around physical activity and orienteering we are also creating opportunities this week for our pupils to think about the benefits of relaxed minds. They will achieve this through yoga sessions and a mindfulness talk delivered to the whole school. The week will culminate in a sports day outside as Friday is ‘European School Sports Day’. Please take the chance to ask your child at home about any activities they have been involved in this week.
