We are pleased to inform you that a Breakfast Club for New Stevenston Primary and St. Patrick’s Primary will begin operation on 16th August 2018. Breakfast Club will begin at 8:15am and finish at 8:50am.
Breakfast will consist of the following:
30g portion of cereal, Rice Krispies, Cornflakes, Weetabix (2 bricks) Bran flakes
1 portion of milk decanted in to the small castaways
1 slice of bread, white or brown toasted with spread
Portion of fresh Orange, Apple, cranberry juice decanted into the castaway dishes
Please note pupils can swap any of the 4 core items (e.g. cereal for an extra slice of toast or fruit juice for milk)
The pricing structure for Breakfast Club will be as follows:
Families with 1 child = £1
Families with 2 children = £1.50 for both
Families with 3 children = £1.80 for all 3
This is providing all siblings visit the till together.
Children should ensure they have money on their card although they will not need to present this in the morning.
Please note, even although children from P1-3 are entitled to a universal free school meal, they will not automatically qualify for a free breakfast. Parents/carers will have to apply for Free School Meals no matter what year their child is in. If a free School Meals’ application is successful an allowance of £1 will be added to the child’s account at 8am each morning and if not used will be removed at 9.30am.
The purpose of Breakfast Club is to provide a positive start to the day for our children. It is expected that children will display good behaviour. Anything to the contrary will be communicated to parents immediately.
You do not need to make prior arrangements for your child to come to breakfast club. On the days they are coming they should come to the front doors of the school where they will be brought into the building and go to the dinner hall where they will be registered. Doors will not be opened until 8:15am.
