Primary 6 Room 11 and 12

Good Morning Primary 6,

We hope you all had a lovely Easter break, if you did anything nice we would love to hear about it through a Glow Blog.

We have sent out an email through Glow this morning with this week’s activities and have also attached to this post incase anyone is having trouble accessing them.

It was lovely to hear from some of you through Glow Teams before the holidays, it would be great to hear from all of you this week. We have missed you all, so this would be a great chance for us to keep in touch as a class.

Take Care, Miss Paterson and Miss Welsh

Primary 7 Rooms 13 and 14

Good morning everyone. I hope you are all doing well. It seems such a long time since I have seen you all. You should all have been starting your final term at primary school today with lots of Primary 7 end of term events to prepare for. However, we can still do lots together online which will prepare you all for the move to High School. Have a look at the grid for this week for Primary 7 that Miss Thomson has sent out and start working on that. Keep in touch.

Primary 3 Room 4

Good morning boys and girls,

Hope you all and your family continue to stay well and had some nice family time over the last two weeks. I continue to think of you all and miss your smiles and working with you all in school as this is the best part of a teacher’s job!

A note to parents/carers-

The suggested activities are just that suggestions, participation is at your discretion, complete if you can and find it appropriate to do so.  Many of you will have your own work to do at home and it can be difficult to juggle both.  Please remember both you and your child’s mental health is most important during this difficult time.

Some suggestions for this coming week:

Please refer to the grid for daily suggestions for Literacy and Numeracy.  Other curricular areas can be completed  too, if this works for your family.

Click below to open the grid

MSP Home Learning Grid

Literacy

Phonics and Common Words:

  • Phoneme How many words can you think of with this sound? You might only get a few, it’s tricky!
  • Can you read all the common words?
  • Write them out three time in Rainbow Writing

Reading Activity

Prior Knowledge– How many parts can you name of the human body?

Vocabulary-After watching the video- Can you draw the outline of a body shape and label as many parts as you heard about in the video?

Art and Design- Find some old magazines.  Cut out facial features and make some funny faces.  You can glue these down or just move them around on the paper to make funny faces.  You could then draw some of these faces.  Get creative!

Remember if you would like to leave a comment or show off some of your work, it would be lovely to hear from you via Twitter!

Have a good day and remember these are just suggestions.  Keep safe.

Regards

Mrs Brown

Chilli Challenge Grids

Mrs Anderson, Mrs Early, Mrs Mooney and Mrs Doyle have been thinking of a fun way to challenge their boys and girls. We have came up with 3 grids . Mild, medium and spicy ! An adult at home can help you decide the grid that’s right for you.

We would love to see some of your work, so if it’s possible get an adult to post some of your tasks on our Twitter page .

Do what you can boys and girls , we know it can be difficult at times but hopefully you will find these activities fun.

You can mix and match too, so choose activities from different grids .

Have fun and stay safe.

Room 1 and Room 2

Good morning and welcome back. We are ready to begin our final term of school year. It might not be how we imagined it would be, but hopefully we can still have fun learning lots of new things.

We hope you have had some time to relax over the Easter break and are now ready to begin home learning again. We have an exciting challenge for you this week with three home learning grids to choose from. Take a look and choose the one you think suits you best this week. Mrs Doyle will share these.

Mrs Anderson will be on Sumdog at 2pm today so remember to add her as a friend and login at 2pm to Beat the Teacher!

We love to see what you have been up to so ask a grown up at home of you can share some of your learning on out school Twitter page.

We have a sunny week ahead so make sure you take breaks and fit in some daily exercise. The most important thing is to stay home and stay safe. We are thinking of you all.

Room 5 Monday 20th of April 🌻

Good morning Room 5 and welcome back to our final term. 📚

It’s certainly not the way we wanted to spend this term but it’s the way it has to be for now 👍.

Hope you all had a had a lovely break . The teachers have been busy thinking of ways to keep you busy and challenged whilst having fun at home .Some of us thought it might be fun to create a chilli challenge . So today we will post 3 grids mild , medium and spicy 🌶. An adult at home can help you choose the grid right for you 😁.

I know that some of my boys and girls will be challenging themselves with the spicy grid 🌶️🌶️🌶️. There are a range of activities on here and you don’t need a screen or the internet for a lot of them either .

I will continue to post daily updates and tasks on Sumdog and Studyladder . I can see lots of you have been on these .

If you can with an adults permission post your lovely work on our school Twitter page . It really does make us smile to see this 😊.

Take care , stay safe and stay at home. 🏡
