GLOW and Teams seem to be running very slowly this morning with high volumes of traffic using these apps, it is to be expected. Please keep updated through our school blog.

Thanks

Primary 4 Room 7 Home Learning

Good morning and a happy new year to all my lovely boys and girls,

I am so sorry that this week is not as we planned and we can’t be together 🙁 However we are going to do our very best to carry on with our learning and hope that we will return to the class very soon .

I am going to upload this weeks home learning grid and a little letter outlining our plans for home learning. All tasks will be uploaded each day to Teams. However as we are very familiar with SeeSaw I feel this is the platform we will mostly all use for our learning. All children should have their login details but any issues please contact myself or the school with any issues.

A member of the primary 4 staff be available each day on Teams if you want to ask anything at all. Remember no question is too small or silly.

Here is my email address: gw09ewingdanielle@glow.sch.uk

Take care everyone.

Access to Teams

If you are finding Teams difficult to access, please remember all activities are available through your child’s Seesaw account. Most children have used this to complete homework activities so will know that each activity can be completed online using the toolkit on screen.

Kind regards

Primary 7 Home Learning 11th January

Good morning everyone!
It may not be the way we want to be doing our school work at the moment but hopefully you will enjoy completing the tasks set. In the grid you will see 4 Literacy, 4 Numeracy, 4 Health & Wellbeing and 4 other activities to complete. In some of the boxes there is more than one task set. Any sheets you need to help you complete your work are already in a folder in the Files section on Teams (11th-15th January). I have also uploaded the grid there.
Mrs Anderson will be online today as Mrs Ruddy is in school.  . You do not have to complete all tasks in one day as you have the full week to complete them. Once you have finished a task you can take a picture and post it on teams or email it to us on glow.

Room 6 Digital Learning

Good morning everyone and happy new year,

I hope you had a lovely Christmas break and had lots of fun spending time with your families. I hope you are all well and safe.

Unfortunately, we are back to Home Learning online using your Teams and Seesaw learning accounts. I have attached 2 Home Learning Grids, please select the grid named after your Literacy Group.  I know you will try your very best and I look forward to seeing your work. Myself or Mrs Doyle will be available each day to help you online if you need it.

I’m sad that I won’t get to see all your lovely smiling faces as we begin the new year but hopefully we’ll be able to see each other soon.

Take care and stay safe.

Note to Parents

I hope you are well and safe. As you know, I sent your child’s login information for various learning platforms, including Teams, just before the end of last term. Although your child’s Seesaw login has not changed, I have posted your child’s Seesaw login information to your home in-case it has been misplaced, you should hopefully receive this today. All information and resources mentioned in the grid will be available through Seesaw and Teams. Seesaw will allow your child to complete activities online without the need to print off  then upload, should you prefer it.

Should you require any support or further information, please contact the school office and I will be in touch as soon as I possibly can. Either myself or Mrs Doyle will be available each day to support online learning or help with any enquiries or issues.

I appreciate these are difficult times and Home Learning will present many challenges. Please know I am here to support you and your child in anyway I can. Your child’s well-being and that of your family must always be the priority so please do not feel under pressure to complete everything each day. Please be kind to yourselves and get in touch in you need my support.

Take care and fingers crossed we will return to normal as soon as possible.

Kind regards

Mrs McQuiston
