Teach Your Monster to Read is an award-winning series of games that’s helped millions of children learn to read.

The Teach Your Monster to Read app will be free to download from Monday 4th – Sunday 10th March.

We had a lot of celebrating to do on Friday morning at MPS.

These boys and girls were presented with Responsible Citizen awards for being kind and helpful around the school and in the playground.

We also had these girls receive the same award for all of their help getting the new recycling system up and running in the lunch hall.

These super confident individuals stood up in front of the entire school, and our special guest judge, to each recite a piece of Scottish poetry on Friday morning.  The audience were blown away by their performances. Well done to everyone who made the final, and to all of the boys and girls who worked hard to learn their class poem.

MPS – Making Pupils Shine!

We just wanted to thank you again for all of your support in collecting the Books for Schools tokens and show you the books we received because of your support. Go Team MPS!

We held a competition for our pupils to design a poster to display our MPS Vision and Values.

There were over 100 entries and the standard was incredibly high. Some of the Pupil Council had the tough job of picking a top 10 from across the school and then every pupil and member of staff got to vote for their favourite.

There were two clear winners with very little between them and here they are…

These boys and girls were awarded with Confident Individual Awards this morning for some fantastic achievements in class and around the school.

Well done everyone!

The Christmas Service will take place on Tuesday 18th December at 10am at Coltness Memorial Church.

For our collection this year, we are asking for donations to the food bank. Please send in non-perishables on Monday or Tuesday and we will deliver them to the food bank.

All children will be travelling to and from the church by bus. Children will return to school for the remainder of the day.

Today at assembly, these children were presented with Successful Learner awards from their teachers, well done!

We also had wider achievements for dancing, judo and participating in a musical concert as part of a band. Well done everyone!
