#RespectMeans and Children in Need (P7)

P7 has been learning about types of bullying here are some examples they shared.

Some examples are physical bullying , cyber bullying, verbal bullying.

 

 

P7 have been supporting children in need and designed a poster/acrostic poem for CHILDREN IN NEED

P2 Remembrance Day Poppy

P2 have be learning about Remembrance Day  they wrote a report about the history and the meaning of the Remembrance Day Poppy. They have also been learning how to peer assess each others writing. In art they were painting poppy landscapes.

P1a Addition

P1a were adding to 4 with Mrs Lang. They were using apple trees to add there sums. They also were using an addition machine to solve their sums.

A few reminders…

  • Pudsey Patch competition entries must be returned tomorrow to be included in the prize draw
  • Jazzy Jam Jars should also be handed in tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest
  • Any donations for the children’s tombola would be greatly appreciated
  • Christmas Fayre tickets now available to buy from the school: Adults ÂĢ2.50 Children ÂĢ1.50
  • Monday is an inset day for staff so pupils have a lovely day off

On a separate note, Primary 7 have been invited to attend a cinema night hosted by the English Dept at Clyde Valley (whether they intend to attend that school or not).

  • It is on Tuesday 5th Dec 6-8pm.
  • Drinks and snacks will be provided.
  • Christmas jumpers/outfits welcome
  • Tickets cost ÂĢ2, money to be paid into Morningside P.S by Friday 24th November

Some Spotacular Fun at MPS!

A brilliant day was had by all on Tuesday as the Pupil Council led fundraising frolics for Children in Need.

We managed to raise a fantastic ÂĢ320 and would like to say a big thank you to everyone who got involved and donated for this worthy cause.

Reminder for tomorrow…

Quick reminder that the Pupil Council have organised some fun activities to raise money for Children in Need tomorrow.

  • Dress in spots, yellow or Pudsey for ÂĢ1
  • Bake sale 20p a cake
  • Pudsey Eye Patch competition 20p
  • Eye Patch face paint 50p
  • Zumba session

Please send children to school with as much change as possible as we don’t have much in school and this would really help us.

Shoe Box Appeal

Thank you all so much for your donations for the Christmas Shoe Boxes. Some of our Pupil Council went down to the church yesterday to help pack the boxes with all of the supplies.
