RSPB Bird Garden Bird Watch

At Morningside one of our Eco Committees priorities is Biodiversity which involves us making our playground wildlife friendly. The Eco Committee and the Gardening / Eco after school clubs have been working hard in the garden to encourage wildlife for example making bird cakes, refilling the fat ball feeders regularly and planting wildlife friendly flowers.

Now it is your turn to join in and help us find out if our hard work is paying off. We would ask you to take part in the RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch which run between 27th – 29th January 2018.

All it takes is an hour and all you have to do is simply watch the birds in your garden or local park, then fill in the form to tell the RSPB what you see. The Big Garden Birdwatch gives the RSPB an astonishing amount of information about how the wildlife is fairing e.g. what is thriving, and what’s under threat and then they can find out why.

All results of your bird watch should be submitted by 13th February, you can do this by placing your form in an envelope and addressing it to Freepost BIG GARDEN BIRD WATCH. Or you can enter you results online at rspb.org.uk/birdwatch. The RSPB will summaries the information and announce the results of the Big Garden Bird Watch by 28th March.

All the information you need is attached in the few documents at the bottom of the page.
