The Eco Committee have organised a Dress Down and Wear it Green for Eco Day on Thursday 22nd February. On this day the children can pay £1 to dress down and do their best to wear something green (all money will go towards the Eco Fund for plants for the school garden).
The Eco committee will also be visiting each class to carry out a short presentation about litter in the playground and recycling in the classroom. They will be informing the pupils about the new MPS Recycling Facilities, there will be more information to follow on this so watch out for it on the blog.
We will also be having a whole school assembly on the afternoon of Thursday 22nd February where the Eco Committee will be teaching the school the new Eco Code. This day will be a celebration of the school achieving their Green Flag Award, and the Eco Committee members will be presented with their Eco Committee badges. I would like to take the opportunity to thank the Eco Committee and the Gardening / Eco after school club for all their hard work so far this year. Let’s continue this as we work to maintain our Green Flag Status. We hope for good weather this summer to allow our garden to flourish to benefit the school and community.
