Room 7 have been learning about Chinese Food Culture. Today we made vegetable spring rolls.
Most of us thought they were delicious! We then wrote instructions to help someone else make them – why not give it a go?
Primary 7 have been busy organising events to help fundraise for the Primary 7 Yearbook and Leavers Event.
The Bring & Buy Sale and Soak the Seven’s were great fun and money raised will be put to great use.
Some of us went on a adventure walk this morning! We found a hobbit house and a hobbit kitchen! We climbed a big mountain. It was so windy Miss Hosie had to climb on her hands and knees. There were lots of great views of Kilbowie, down to Oban and over to Kerrera Island. We also found a hill that we rolled down. Super fun!
Today lots of us went gorge walking in the rain. We went on a short bus drive to get there, then tried to see who could keep our feet the driest. The gorge was 4x fuller that it would be normally so we all got extremely wet. We slid down a waterfall and all got completley soaked. It was great fun!
At the skiing, we started going down the hill on one foot. One we had practiced lots we put on two skies and went higher up the hill. We started going over the hill and doing some jumps if we could. Some of us were more balanced than others.
This afternoon we have had groups canoeing and on safari. There are an awful lot of very soggy clothes in the centre at the moment!! Many people have been surprised at just how cold the sea is!! Below are some of the photos which the instructors have taken (the first few are from yesterday afternoon, you can see how windy it was!). I’ve not been able to get all the cameras this evening so not everyone is pictured but we’ll take some more during the evening activities. We’re just about to head in for dinner and then we are going to be playing an orienteering team game.
Everyone is off on their activities so I’m able to give you a quick update. Everything was fine during the night with all the children in bed by 10pm.
This morning we have two groups canoeing (as the wind had died down a lot), two groups on a safari around the grounds and one group rock climbing. Below are some photos of the groups getting ready. We should be able to post some more of their activities later on.
