In January, details of registration and enrolment for children starting school in August will appear in the Local Press (Cumbernauld News and Kilsyth Chronicle) and in Local Authority Social Media pages.

You must register your child with the school which serves your catchment area. However, you may exercise your parental  right and apply to enrol your child at any school of your choice.

The documents you’ll need
  • A copy (scanned/snapshot picture) of your child’s birth certificate.
  • Council tax notice. You can print a copy on our council tax portal – also available to download to a mobile device.

If you wish to contact Kilsyth Primary directly regarding registration you can email the school  directly using the email above.

Parents/carers who want to defer entry for their child to primary school and apply for an additional year of part-time pre-school should register their child for school as described above and complete the deferred entry application form. This document is available from the school.

If you have any questions about deferred entry, please contact the Head Teacher.
