Today I am in Glenboig Primary talking about copyright. Primary 4/5 are learning to blog. We looked at pics4learning.com where I got this nice photo of a Mountain Lion. It was taken by Michael D. Hall.
It is important only to use picture you are allowed to. Pics4learning.com allows you to use their pictures if I say who took the picture and where I got it from.
Yesterday I spent a pleasant morning with a group of about 20 primary sixes taken from 4 classes from Our Lady of Good Aid Cathedral Primary School making a podcast. The children wrote script quickly and I was impressed by the way that managed to write scripts that sounded as if they should be broadcast. They also got a handle on using GarageBand to record voices and add a wee bit of background music. You can have a listen to CCK Episode 1 on the NLC podcast server.
