School open Monday
We expect to be open and back to normal on Monday following the recent water issues in the community. We are delighted as we still have lots of things to do including the last Golden Book treat of the year, our Prize giving, P7 Graduation and the P7 disco! See you Monday everyone 🙂
School closed Friday 19th June
Unfortunately our school is to remain closed tomorrow (Friday) due to the water issues. Further updates will be posted when information is available. Thanks for your patience.
Closure Today
Unfortunately school is closed today as a precautionary measure due to the water issue. We will update the blog and website when we have any further information.
Gold Sportscotland Award
Mrs Leggatt and Mrs Brown were delighted to attend the Sportscotland/North Lanarkshire awards ceremony tonight to collect our Gold Award! This is a huge achievement for our school! We want to encourage all our children to see sport as a lifelong activity and to try lots of different sports to see what they like doing. Maybe we have a future Gold Medalist in our school?
Winners again!!
It was a real honour to be invited to the Junior Road Safety Officer awards ceremony in Motherwell as a finalist. We were then really surprised to find out that we were 1st place with ‘Campaign of the Year’ for our umbrella initiative to promote our Park and Stride locations. Unfortunately our 2 JRSO’s were not able to come along but 2 of our umbrella designers were delighted to represent the school.
We are very proud of all our efforts to encourage parents and carers to park away from the school and walk a little bit to try to keep around our campus a bit safer. Again I would encourage everyone to try to follow the school Travel Code – together we can make a difference!
GOLD AGAIN!!!
Yet again we have struck gold.
We have been successful in achieving a Gold Sports Award from Sportscotland. This is the result of a huge amount of hard work, dedication and teamwork from all staff in the school. Thanks also go to  our Active Sports Coordinator Stephen Hughes for all his efforts, training and support. We are one of only 82 schools (primary and secondary) throughout Scotland to have achieved this award. Here is a link to the Sportscotland website where you can read all about it.

What a Treat
Today we had a very special treat paid for by our PTA. An ice-cream van came to school and served everyone an ice cream. Â We even got sprinkles and sauces. It was delicious.
Thank you
