House Talent Show
The talent just keeps coming at Chapelhall primary. After a very successful final show night, pupils organised a House Talent Show where children competed in front of a panel of judges. Our judges were Mr McMahon, Mrs Robertson and Mrs Carson and they were so impressed with all the acts. The winners were;
3rd place: (equal) Hope White/ Charley Robertson and Lewis McGown
2nd place: Evie McCluskey and Jessica Addie
1st place: Finlay Douglas
The Search for Saturn 5
Well done to all our pupils for putting on a fantastic show for our community. All children put an incredible amount of effort into their class song and our cast did a fantastic job of telling this exciting story.
Health Day
We are having an amazing health day both indoors and outdoors today. We have been taking part in micro fit, playground games, sketching in our brand new Wigloo and have had some healthy tasty snacks. We hope the weather lasts throughout the day as we are having so much fun.
Eco Flag
We had a fantastic Eco Inspection on Wednesday where all pupils impressed the inspector with their Eco knowledge. We successfully renewed our Eco Flag (3rd flag) and we are so proud of all our pupils who helped to achieved this. Our flag will hopefully arrive in a few weeks.
Food Tasting
During our weekly assembly, we did some food tasting to see if we could tell the difference between popular well known brands and supermarket own brands. We tested Jaffa cakes, custard creams, chocolate digestives and various cereals. We couldn’t tell the difference between some of the products and we worked out how much we would save if we bought own brands. I think some pupils will be advising parents to buy supermarket own brands during your next shop.
Mrs Robertson Retirement Dinner
We all had a fantastic night on Friday to say a big thank you to Mrs Robertson at the Alona Hotel. Well done to Team Supreme on winning the Quiz.
Update
Just left Gretna, having too much fun, sorry we are late, having Darren’s birthday cake and some juice. Homeward straight. See you all at 7.45 all being well.
Old Trafford

The tour of Old Trafford was great. Went to the players changing rooms, press area, V.I.P. area, players lounge, tunnel, sat in the dug out and of course the shop. Birthday boys led the teams out. Have left later than planned and running 30 minutes later than our schedule. At the moment expect to be in Chapelhall about 7.00pm. Will stop again at Gretna and update if we can. All very happy, tired children. I have uploaded a film clip which won’t play on the iPad but may play elsewhere??
P6 Drumpelier Park
P6 pupils had a fantastic day at Drumpelier Loch. They went on a nature trail looking at various plants and birds and had fun in the play park. We would like to say thank you to the PTA for providing ice cream for us.
