Well done to our P5 pupils who put on a fantastic performance of the Easter Story. We are very proud of them and it was a great way to finish for the holidays.

Our Bottle Greenhouse
Our Eco Pupil Groups have been planning a bottle greenhouse this session and have worked hard in collecting all the bottles required for its construction. S5 and S6 pupils from the Caldervale technical department have built the frame for us in our grounds and we have helped them attach the bottles to the frame. They are coming back tomorrow (Thursday 3rd April) to put the roof on and complete our greenhouse. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who brought in bottles to support our project. We can’t wait to get a wider variety of things growing in school.

P6 Science Centre Trip
Joint Burns Supper
All P7 pupils from both schools enjoyed a fantastic afternoon last week when they celebrated the life of Robert Burns. All pupils performed to staff and visitors and had a great time mixing with friends from both Chapelhall and Saint Aloysius.
Science Afternoon
Here are some photos of our Science Assembly which we had last week to launch the Year of Science and start thinking about different investigations we’ll be completing in class this year.
Christmas Closing Assembly
We had a nice short assembly this morning to celebrate the end of our term. Mrs Kennedy celebrates a very special birthday today so we had a presentation for her. Miss Hutchison got engaged last week so we wanted to share her good news with everyone. We had an extra special celebration for Miss Devine who has worked with us for the past four sessions. She is well loved by all in Chapelhall and we will be sad to see her go. So we presented her with a special leaving gift. Mrs Brown held a special Christmas jumper competition for staff and house captains selected the winner. This years winner was Mrs Graham. Our gymnastics team then performed their sequence which earned them best gymnastics team in North Lanarkshire.
A Special Visitor
What an exciting morning! Santa managed to take time out of his busy schedule to come and visit all P1 and P2 pupils. They sang songs to him and told him what they would like for Christmas.
