Pupils have been very interested in the theme of child neglect and poverty in this wonderful poem. Have a look for yourself:

Pupils have…
- Written a Critical Essay
- Created Group Posters (these are displayed in the corridor which you can see at Parents’ Evening!)
hi miss donoughue , i really enjoyed doing the project on timothy winters , and the essay was easy , making the posters was fun as well , thanks for giving us a chance to make the posters , bye …..x
I enjoyed this topic as it opened my eyes about the world and the people who live in it. I also enjoyed the poster bit and working with people i have an haven’t worked with before. I my favourite bit was listening to Charles Causley reading it the way it should be read. He also admitted that the character he wrote about was not made up and that people were wrong to think that he was.
Timothy winters was an alright poem and I think that Miss Donoughue chose it for a reason!!
Another excellent post Jason! I’m delighted that the topics interest you and you are learning so much about the real world.
You’re posters are now displayed in he corridor outside my room – they look fab!
