i use the i pads to record the childrens experiences and learning , which is used to show to the parents at the end of the session.

The children love this !!!

it has great fun watching the children use the i pads they enjoy taking photos and videos of each other this has helped some of the shy children socialse with others.

I’ve been looking around for a few apps which might be good to use with pupils to enhance their communication in the classroom.  The following apps look at choice making, eye pointing and other communication skills. Here is a list below:-

These are all by the developer Goatella and range in price between £2.99 – £4.99

I’ve not used these yet but looking at the screen shots of the operation they look very adaptable regardless of age or stage!!

Great way to prevent children flicking through apps or the ipad in general. If  you click the home button three times this will enable you to use the guided access. If you find the children are walking away from the ipads or losing interest because this is on then you could put a few different apps on the ipads and get the children to alternate ipads.

At St Timothy’s Nursery Class we use the ipads to share information with parents, relate the apps to what the children are learning about, and also use them out in the forest. The children really enjoy face timing their friends back in the nursery to show them the fun they are having out in the forest.

Fab app for children to use with a member of staff or independently.  Children also enjoy using this app in groups taking turns with one another.  Working through each level the children are face with different maths challenges targeting different skills.  At the end of each level they receive a gold star.  The last level is a summary of the entire maths programme which they will then receive a certificate at the very end which you can attach each child’s name to and email it to your own email address. Amazing app defo worth getting!

iPads produce great quality pics and videos to use for observations.

The iPad course was very interesting with lots of apps suggested. Can’t wait to download them and try them out.
