The pupils from Primary 1 – Primary 4 enjoyed a visit from authors McNicol and Jackson. Badger, the Mystical Mutt, also put in an appearance, much to the excitement of the children. Many of the pupils are now the proud owners of signed copies of the Badger books.

Science Centre Visit
Primary 2 and 3 had a fantastic day out at Glasgow Science Centre before Spring break. We had lots of fun trying out all of the experiments! The highlight of the day was a visit to the planetarium where we got to see lots of star constellations. This was a great end to an exciting Space theme!
Science Experiments – P3, P3/4 and P4
Some of the Primary 3-4 pupils have enjoyed carrying out Science Experiments during their Golden Time on a Friday afternoon. So far they have made Lava Lamps using oil, water and salt, created explosive volcanoes and removed egg shells without breaking the eggs!! The messier the experiment the better!!
Fairtrade fortnight was 23/2/15 to 8/3/15. During the two weeks children had the opportunity to learn a bit about Fairtrade. We also had a Fairtrade tuckshop which the children enjoyed. Well done to the Fairtrade committee who organised and managed the tuckshop.
Primary 3- Our fruit and vegetable afternoon!
Primary 3 have been learning all about food groups and what we should eat to have a healthy, balanced diet. We know that fruits and vegetables are very important for keeping us fit and healthy!
We looked through a bag filled with vegetables and fruits and sorted them into two groups (vegetables and fruits). We were all unsure of what a parsnip was! We each picked a vegetable or fruit to draw using line and coloured pencil. We also wrote sentences to describe how it looked, smelt and felt to touch.
We really enjoyed printing using paint, vegetables and fruits! We created excellent pattern pictures with bright coloured paints. Have a look at some photographs of our fruit and vegetable afternoon- more to follow!
