Primary 5 have now completed their 12 week block of swimming lessons. The children really enjoyed taking part in both the swimming and the badminton lessons. All of the children participated well and learned new skills both in and out of the pool. They will now use this information and the new skills learned to create a video in ICT. This will be used to inform the children going to the lessons next year what to expect and how to get ready for the lessons.

Primary 3- Our fruit and vegetable afternoon!
Primary 3 have been learning all about food groups and what we should eat to have a healthy, balanced diet. We know that fruits and vegetables are very important for keeping us fit and healthy!
We looked through a bag filled with vegetables and fruits and sorted them into two groups (vegetables and fruits). We were all unsure of what a parsnip was! We each picked a vegetable or fruit to draw using line and coloured pencil. We also wrote sentences to describe how it looked, smelt and felt to touch.
We really enjoyed printing using paint, vegetables and fruits! We created excellent pattern pictures with bright coloured paints. Have a look at some photographs of our fruit and vegetable afternoon- more to follow!
Primary 4B – Bicycle Safety Checks
Primary 4 have completed a unit of work on Bicycles and Road Safety. Alick from Ed Cycles Co-op visited the school and carried out safety checks on some of the children’s bikes. He repaired any minor faults which he found (such as replacing brake pads or brake cables) and advised the children on any other repairs needed.
