There are no events to take note of this week in the nursery.  The children are continuing to learn about their body and how we can look after it by being healthy.

We had lots of great ideas at last week’s focus group, thanks to everyone who was able to make it.  We will have the minutes typed up this week and they will be available for you to read in the cloakroom.  These might inspire you to add a suggestion yourself to our suggestion box.

We would also like to remind everyone to put their child’s name on all clothing they bring to the nursery including hats, scarves and gloves.  Thank you.

Last week we managed to get outside and have fun in the snow.  We continued to learn about different parts of our body by making prints, snow angels and creating snowmen with arms, eyes and nose.

Our library visits start up again very soon.  They will all take place on Tuesdays this term.

Let me remind you that you can help out any group going to the library if you are available.

We all hope you had a refreshing holiday.  It has been great being back hearing what everyone got up to.

Remember that the school are enrolling this week for the new school year.  Times are on display in the nursery cloakroom.

We have our first parent focus group meetings of the year on Friday.  We are holding two meetings at 11:20am and 3:15pm.  There is a sign up sheet in the cloakroom, if you can make it just add your name.

What a lovely surprise it was for us all to meet Santa Claus.

The children at Cambusnethan have been exchanging Christmas cards at the nursery. Some of them have enjoyed dressing up as a post person to give out their cards.

Today we came into nursery and Ernie the Elf had been taking selfies using one of our ipads. The boys and girls decided to take their own selfies. We have put them on the wall in the cloakroom, take a look when you are in.

Well Ernie has been up to lots of mischief in the nursery. Here is some of the evidence, maybe the children can tell you more.

I’m sure everyone will agree that the boys and girls of Cambusnethan Nursery were fantastic in their Christmas Show and Nativity.  It was obvious the children had been rehearsing at home, thank you to all the parents, family and friends who helped.  I know some of you got great photographs of your children, but here are just a few more.
