After the changes behind the scene, we are happy to be back online.
Today we are learning about the celebration of Diwali. We will upload some photographs from our day soon.

Through our castle topic we have been learning about how people lived in the past.  We discovered lots of artefacts in our talking and thinking tub.  We have built castles including one with a moat, dressed as knights and princesses and have even found royal jewels in our sand tray!

Fun in the sun at Almond Valley.

The children have had a wonderful opportunity in the sunshine to create musical rhythms using the Abc instruments.

The children have been exploring mud recently.  They have been using mud to create and sculpt things such as a “kingdom for a princess” and mud faces on the trees.

Today we were outdoors finding out what things dissolve in water.  The children used lots of interesting language to describe their findings.  Some examples were, “Nina and the Neurons do experiments”,  “Wow, the salt is disappearing!” and “The flour has melted”.  They also discovered that grass, stones and twigs don’t dissolve in water.
