0 A.D. (pronounced “zero-ey-dee”) is a free, open-source, historical Real Time Strategy (RTS) game currently under development by Wildfire Games, a global group of volunteer game developers. As the leader of an ancient civilization, you must gather the resources you need to raise a military force and dominate your enemies.

Today in class we created a blog post summerising what we did over the summer.
The class researched various games review sites to get an idea of the types of styles used on sites.
We also created logos for tiles to get quicker access to your blogs.
How blockbuster games are written is a look at how narrative design is used create the plot of AAA games.
A great story can carry a poor game and a bad story can destroy a good game. Take for example Portal which is a fairly standard puzzle game but the story lifts it to a whole new level.
There are plenty of great games out there with great stories, often you find them in the last place you look. However, you could start here.
Using wikipedia and the WWW create a powerpoint explaining the characteristics of the following video game genres. You should also include an game example of each genre and a description of why you think it falls into this genre.
