Maths and Bug Hotel Building

Today for maths we were calculating the area of a right angled traingle.  The way we calculated the area was multiply the length and the breadth.  We then had to half the answer.  We had fun.

Yesterday we went out with some of the nursery children to find things to put in their bug hotel.  There were at least four bags filled with grass, twigs and leaves.  We walked around the whole school to find things for it.  We went back to the nursery garden and started to build the bug hotel.  It was an amazing experience for both the older and younger children.
