Maths and Bug Hotel Building

Today for maths we were calculating the area of a right angled traingle.  The way we calculated the area was multiply the length and the breadth.  We then had to half the answer.  We had fun.

Yesterday we went out with some of the nursery children to find things to put in their bug hotel.  There were at least four bags filled with grass, twigs and leaves.  We walked around the whole school to find things for it.  We went back to the nursery garden and started to build the bug hotel.  It was an amazing experience for both the older and younger children.

Maths

Today for maths we did time durations.  We learned how to calculate 12 hour and 24 hours times durations.  The second page in our textbook was tricky but we learned never give up!

Athletics

Today at PE, we were doing athletics on the grass.  We were doing different activities such as hurdles and running, plus a game of rounders.

Next Wednesday some children from our class will be going to the North Ayrshire Athletics Competition so we will need to train hard.
