November Outdoor Learning Day

Today was Outdoor Learning Day. Take a look out the activities we took part in.

We have our class garden planter all set for Spring.

First we had to weed the planters.

We planted dwarf daffodils first, which should flower between February and April.

We added a layer of compost before adding our tulips. These should flower after the daffodils in April and May.

A thick layer of compost was put over the top of the bulbs.

We used playground chalk to make firework pictures.

Aimee and Nathaniel have drawn colourful rockets.

Jacob, Oliver and George have their fireworks exploding from the centre. They then used a repeating pattern into their second firework drawing.

Jackson has made the longest firework as it shoots high into the sky. Ellie, Freya and Holly have their firework spinning with lots of different colours exploding from it.

We collected things from the garden to create natural firework pictures too.

We met Evan, our family learning worker today. He was chatting to everyone about their ideas.

The girls worked together to make a pattern, using colour, on the drain cover.
